Solar Book 2.1

The Solar Book is a mobile application designed to enhance the experience of observing solar eclipses on smartphones and tablets. This app provides precise timings for when various portions of the Sun will be obscured by the Moon during a solar eclipse.

Users will find that the start time, maximum phase, and end time of an eclipse are contingent upon their specific location. The Solar Book caters to this need by allowing users to set their observing location via a dedicated location setup dialog box, enabling thoughtful planning for the eclipse's progression.

When users tap on the eclipse thumbnail images icon located in the lower right corner of the screen, they can access sequential images of the solar eclipse displayed in the correct order.

Additionally, the app offers flexibility by allowing users to designate dates for solar eclipses, whether they are past or upcoming, even if those dates are not readily available in a pre-defined list.

In cases where a solar eclipse is not selected, the Solar Book provides a star chart of the night sky relative to the user's observation point, further enriching the astronomical experience.
